| This is a very good quality English Leather
Saddle by H. Woolley & Sons Saddlers.
This is Working Hunter Cut Saddle.
It has the usual signs of wear from
stirrup leathers but is in overall
very good condition.
The leather has been well cared for
and there area no major flaws but it does have some minor scuff marks on
the cantle and slight loss of leather pigmentation where the riders sits
where the piped seat trim joins the skirts (see inset photo).
These could very easily be worked out of the leather with little bit of
polish and leather oil and the latter is not visible when in use.
The stirrup bar is stamped M for a
medium fit but the measurements for D-D and Gullet make this much nearer a Medium
Wide Fit.
If you are looking for a very good
quality saddle to start off doing showing then this is a very nice
saddle to get you going and would not look out of place even at county
level.
